How to play connections
in connection, a grid of 16 words is displayed. Your task is to find connections between them and place them into 4 groups of 4. A group could be something like a horror movie franchise, a type of verb, or a rapper.
Each puzzle has only one solution, and you need to be careful about words that can fit into more than one category. Shuffling words makes it easier to see connections between words.
Each group is color coded. The yellow group is usually the easiest to understand, blue and green are somewhere in between, and the purple group is usually the most difficult to estimate. Please be careful as the purple group has a lot of wordplay.
Choose four words that you think can be combined easily.[送信]Please press. If you guess wrong, you will lose your life. This is your final warning!
Today’s connection The answer is…
- Yellow group — commercial organizations (agencies, companies, companies, companies)
- Green Group — Farm Equipment (COOP, PEN, STABLE, STY)
- Blue group — classic dog names (FLUFFY, REX, ROVER, SPOT)
- Purple group — color minus first letter (INK, LACK, OLD, RANGE)
He achieved his third consecutive victory in a refreshingly perfect match.
Having FIRM and COMPANY on the starting grid was a definite boon for the yellow team. The combo of STABLE and STY became the entry point to the green.
I thought there might be a group of typical dog names, but I couldn’t figure out the fourth name. I think FLUFFY is a more common name for rabbits. In any case, I guessed it on his fourth word and got lucky. That left only purple, which was good. If it were me, I wouldn’t have been able to understand that relationship. Today’s purple group is quite tricky.
