Today is the last Friday before Christmas, and for many children it’s the beginning of winter break. For many parents, that means having more children around the house. I’m happy because I don’t have to get up early in the morning to take my 9th graders to school. I also look forward to spending time with my family and watching Christmas movies.

Unfortunately, I ran into a little trouble today, even though my guess was mostly correct. CHORE left me with only 73 words, but SMITH reduced that to just 8 words. This is not great. At this point I was worried it would be a USH word, but I came up with a few so I decided to go with BLUSH. Fortunately, U was ruled out, leaving only one possible solution. It’s FLASH. Truly the fastest man in existence!

How to play Wordle competitively
- Guessing 1 is worth 3 points. A guess at 2 is worth 2 points. Guessing 3 is worth 1 point. A guess of 4 is worth 0 points. A guess of 5 is -1 point. Guessing on a 6 is worth -2 points, missing Wardle is worth -3 points.
- If you defeat your opponent, you will receive 1 point. In case of a tie, the score will be 0 points. If you lose to your opponent, you will receive -1 point. Add it up to get your score. Record your daily running score or play for a new score every day.
- Friday is 2XP. That means you get double the points for plus or minus.
